While students certainly “consume” many images daily, they are not necessarily critical viewers who understand what they see. This strategy sharpens visual literacy skills, encourages students to construct their own knowledge through higher level thinking and develops deductive reasoning. Learn how to use questioning strategies with visuals in order to allow students to gain a better understanding of social studies. T-TESS: 1.1 - 1.3, 2.4, 3.2
