Student success in social studies can be greatly affected by their ability to successfully analyze text. This session will give social studies teachers multiple strategies to enhance reading skills in the classroom regardless of students' Lexile level. When students are equipped with the necessary tools to break down primary sources, they have the ability to start making content connections. Come to this session and learn various ways to enhance the literacy skills of ALL students in your classroom. TESS: 1.1 - 1.3, 2.4, 3.1
